If I had to pick one word to describe today’s weddings it would be PERSONALIZED. The Rustic style (or Shabby Chic) combines elegance and grace with natural materials and settings can create a stunningly beautiful comfortable wedding reception. Start with a setting- Outdoor tent weddings can provide the greatest flexibility- Forests, plantations, farms all make for picture perfect backdrops. Beautiful linens and lighting can be used to highlight and add elegance to the location. Bring in wild flowers, natural materials and found items amongst natural candle light to decorate your space. A simple textured cake with real or gumaste flowers nestled on top of a natural tree slice cake stand will carry the look all the way through dessert. Carry the style throughout and juxtapose the rough and natural with something new & bright to get maximum impact.
